2009-01-08 - 17U Flames Attend 2008 Perfect Game National Undergraduate
The 17u Cincy Flames participated in the Perfect Game 2008 National Underclass Showcase Main Event December 28-30. Over 500 top underclassmen from across country were invited to show their skills.
The 17u Flames players, always regarded as top prospects in the Midwest, relish the opportunity to compete on the national stage. Enjoying the warm Florida weather at the Boston Red Sox Complex in Fort Myers the Flames demonstrated their abilities against the top underclassmen in the country.
An unprecedented 6 Flames players were selected by the PG staff to participate in the Top Prospects Game. Congratulations to Andrew Hendrix, Tyler Hutchinson, Dusty Isaacs, Jacob May, Ryan Oltorik, and David Whitehead for being selected as Top Prospects.
The Cincy Flames Baseball Program is recognized as one of the premier youth baseball
organizations in the country. Founded in 1994 by Jay Basil, it has consistently delivered
on its Mission Statement:
To instill the integrity of the game of baseball into each player while helping them understand
the greatness of the game. To allow each player to learn the many life lessons associated with
the game of baseball. To guide and enhance the development needed to advance to the college or
professional level. To provide the best learning environment, the best competition, and the most
fun the game of baseball has to offer to its participants.
